一、定义

动词不定式与动词ing、过去分词一样,是动词的三种非谓语形式之一。但它前面一般要带有一个不定式的符号“to”,我们为了把它与介词的to 区别开来,它只是一个符号,没有词性,但动词不定式有时也不带to。

二、形式

不定式的形式有六种:(以动词write 为例)

非谓语动词[以write(vt.)为例] 种类 名称 形式 时态和语态基本含义 6种不定式 1. 主动一般式 to write 主动将来 2. 主动完成式 to have written 主动完成 3. 主动进行式 to be writing 主动进行 4. 主动完成进行式 to have been writing 主动、完成、进行 5. 被动一般式 to be written 被动、将来 6. 被动完成式 to have been written 被动、完成

三、基本用法

1. 何时用主动一般式(to do)?

要用主动一般式(to do),要满足两个条件:1)to do它所修饰的对象就是其动作的发出者2)to do的动作一般发生在谓语动词的动作之后。

(1)To teach you English is my dream. (主语)【1)To teach它所修饰的对象I(句意暗藏)就是其动作的发出者2)To teach的动作发生在谓语动词is的动作之后】

(2) I decide to teachyou English. (宾语) 【1)to teach它所修饰的对象I(句子主语)就是其动作的发出者2)to teach的动作发生在谓语动词decide 的动作之后】

(3) My decision is to teach you English. (表语) 【1)to teach它所修饰的对象I(句意暗藏)就是其动作的发出者2)to teach的动作发生在谓语动词is的动作之后】

(4) My decision to teach you English is what you want. (定语) 【1)to teach它所修饰的对象I(句意暗藏)就是其动作的发出者2)to teach的动作发生在谓语动词is的动作之后】

要用主动完成式(to have done),要满足两个条件:【1)to have done它所修饰的对象就是其动作的发出者2)to have done的动作发生在谓语动词的动作之前】

(1) At the end of the class, I said, “I am very glad to have taughtyou English today.” (状语)【1)to have taught它所修饰的对象I(句中主语)就是其动作的发出者2)to have taught的动作发生在谓语动词am glad的动作之前】

3. 何时用主动进行式(to be doing)?

要用主动进行式(to be doing),要满足两个条件:【1)to be doing它所修饰的对象就是其动作的发出者2)to be doing的动作发生与谓语动词的动作几乎同时发生】

4. 何时用主动完成进行式(to have been doing)?

要用主动完成进行式(to have been doing),要满足三个条件:【1)to have been doing它所修饰的对象就是其动作的发出者2)to have been doing的动作发生在谓语动词的动作之前3)to have been doing的动作还在进行未结束或刚刚结束】

He is saidto have been writinga letter to his mother all this morning. He will finish it tonight. (主语补足语) 【1)to have been writing它所修饰的对象He就是其动作的发出者2)to have been writing的动作发生在谓语动词is said的动作之前,已经发生3)to have been writing的动作还在进行,还未结束(从后文看)】

5. 何时可用被动一般式(to be done)?

要用被动一般式(to be done),要满足两个条件:1)to be done它所修饰的对象就是其动作的承受者2)to be done的动作发生在谓语动词的动作之后。

(1) To be taughtEnglish by Mr He is my hope. (主语) 【1)To be taught它所修饰的对象I就是其动作的承受者2)To be taught的动作发生在谓语动词is的动作之后】

(2) I wanted to be taughtEnglish by Mr He. (宾语) 【1)to be taught它所修饰的对象I(句子主语)就是其动作的承受者2)to be taught的动作发生在谓语动词wanted的动作之后】

(3) My hope is to be taughtEnglish by Mr He. (表语)【1)to be taught它所修饰的对象I就是其动作的承受者2)to be taught的动作发生在谓语动词is的动作之后】

(4) Do you have anythingto be taught? (定语)【1)to be taught它所修饰的对象anything就是其动作的承受者2)to be taught的动作发生在谓语动词have的动作之后】
